Good weekend

The Lord blessed us with another great weekend!  We praise the Lord that 24 came to kids club (1 was a visitor)!  Also, we had three come to our youth club!  This morning at church we had 4 plus our family!  The Lord was really with us in the services and we could really feel His Spirit.  We’re preaching on Nehemiah and “Let’s Build”; we really tried to stress the importance of the church and that we need the prayers, support, and help of those that are coming.  There was a sweet Spirit in the services this morning.  Please pray the Lord would continue to unite us for the furtherance of His Gospel.

Faith restored in mankind!

Today I forgot my planner in the taxi we were in.  I didn’t realize it until about 10 minutes later!  Thankfully, I didn’t have anything of value inside.  I figured it was gone and I would never see it again.  About 12:30 p.m. we got a call and it was the taxi driver wanting to return my planner.  I couldn’t believe it (in this culture, if you forget something in a taxi or anywhere else, you might as well consider it gone).  I thank the Lord for the taxi drivers integrity to bring it back to me.  This is definitely not common place in Peru.

Good times

The Lord blessed with a great Saturday and Sunday!  Yesterday at our kids club we had 31 (4 visitors)!  We also had 4 youth come to our youth group!  Today at church Gustavo and Josue came plus our family.  This morning our family, Gustavo, and Josue took a walk up the mountain and we had our services at one of the lookouts.  We had a great time! Here are some pictures of the weekend:

Prayer and Faith

I’m reading The Complete Works of E.M. Bounds on Prayer.  It is 8 books all wrapped up into 1.  Everytime I read a chapter I get under conviction for either my lack of faith or my lack of prayer.  Here’s quote that I really enjoyed:

“The possibilities of prayer are the possibilities of faith. Prayer and faith are Siamese twins. One heart animates them both.  Faith is always praying. Prayer is always believing.  Faith must have a tongue by which it can speak. Prayer is the tongue of faith.  Faith must receive. Prayer is the hand of faith stretched out to receive. Prayer must rise and soar. Faith must give prayer the wings to fly and soar.”
