This morning we had our adoption hearing. It wasn’t quite what we expected, but everything went good. It was a very informal meeting. We sat and talked with the judge. He asked us a few questions and then he dictated to his secretary a letter approving our paperwork and authorizing the adoption to move forward to the sentencing phase. We weren’t exactly sure what was going on at first because he talked with our lawyer and it sounded like we were going to have to complete some other requirements. Praise the Lord he accepted everything! Now we have to send all our paperwork to the biological mom advising her of the proceedings (not sure exactly why since we have complete custody of the girls). When we get that paperwork back we will move into the final adoption verdict. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for the adoption and for the hearing today.
