Happy Father’s Day!

I am so privileged to be a dad!  It’s something that terrified me when we first got the girls but I praise the Lord for them!  I want to wish all you Dad’s a wonderful day.  We’ve been giving a great privilege which I know I often fail at.  I’m thankful for the godly example I had in my dad.

The Lord blessed us with 20 in Club Berea this afternoon!

Adoption Update

This update is a tad bit late, but we found out on Thursday that the girls have a hearing for their adoption on July 13th! There will still be paperwork to do after the hearing but this makes the adoption a little more realistic!

Let’s Talk

At last night’s “Let’s Talk” (Hablemos) we had a great time. We had 6 people come, 3 of whom were visitors! It’s great to see people interact in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Down weekend

Well we praise the Lord for a good kid’s club. We had 17 in Club Berea with 1 visitor! Our youth club was down because they are practicing for the different dances and marches that there schools will be doing for the holidays.
This morning we had 1 plus our family of 4 at the services. I know everything is not about numbers but good numbers can certainly be encouraging! We praise the Lord though for those who are faithful to come.

Corpus Cristi

Today starts Corpus Cristi here in Cusco (even though tomorrow is the actually holiday). Today, 12 of the different Catholic parishes will walk their saint to the main cathedral in the Plaza de Armas. Tomorrow, they will have a parade in the Plaza and will walk their saints in processionals and then put them back in the Cathedral. Next week they will do it all again when they take their saints back to their parishes. Basically, it’s party time in Cusco. There will be parades and processionals from just about everyone you can think of and many more you couldn’t think of from now until the end of the month.
