Praise the Lord there was no strike today! There was supposed to be a nationwide 24 hours strike (like we haven’t had enough of those lately) but they suspended it pending changes of the new traffic laws. They were going to strike because they feel that the new fees for breaking traffic laws are too high. Supposedly, if you voluntarily pay the fine they’ll give you a 95% discount if the fine is nothing serious and a 75% discount if the fine is serious. Not exactly sure how that’s going to work.

March for Jesus
Here’s some pictures of the “March for Jesus”. After all the parades and processions this month it was wonderful to be a part of one that brought honor and glory to Jesus.

Pictures of the group
Here are some pictures of the group from North Carolina that came with Bro. Stanton. We had a great time with them and were blessed to spend time with them.

Happy Anniversary Cusco!
Today Cusco celebrated its anniversary and tomorrow things should be back to normal! While most people were celebrating we had a group that Bro. Stanton brought to Cusco that were gracious enough to come paint. They came over to the church and painted the entire apartment side in 2 and 1/2 hours! Now, those of you who have been to Cusco know that there are a lot better things to do in this city than paint a building, but this group took time out of their schedule to help us. It was a huge blessing! If I would have done it myself it would probably have taken me almost a week.
Great Sunday
Yesterday, the Lord blessed us with a wonderful day. We had 3 visitors come in the the morning service! One of the visitors that came was asking someone on the street if there was a Christian church in the area and Josue “happened” to be walking by at the same time. They came together!
We had an evening service with the group that arrived with Bro. Stanton. They are from North Carolina and had been in Huanuco, Peru helping a church put up a security wall. We had 5 of our teen girls show up and 3 others came also. It was a great service! Bro. Jim Miller preached and Bro. Stanton translated for him. During the invitation there were two teen girls who came forward and said that they had put their trust in Jesus as their Saviour! Obviously, there salvation was an answer to prayer. We were extatic! Pray for us as we follow up with them.
