Well the old saying our mom’s always told us “Don’t play in the street!” doesn’t matter 2 Sundays of the month in our district of San Jeronimo. Every 1st and 3rd Sunday, San Jeronimo has a “ciclovia”. Basically they close down an entire section of the main road for almost 2 miles and everyone that wants to can play games in the streets. For the past few months our church plant has been walking around the different areas (after our morning service) handing out church information and giving away candy and balloons. This month we tried something different since we are on the 1st floor. We started at 10 a.m.(before our service), and we set up out front our building and played some games. We tried to get others to come play with us so we could talk to them and get to know them. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out too well. We also made balloon animals for many children and while we made them balloon animals we were able to talk to their parents about our church. We were also able to give out John and Romans with a video entitled “What is the gospel?”. All in all it was a great morning. I’m not sure if we will do things the same next month, but it was a good experience. On a side note, Natali and Neomi loved being able to play in the street! I don’t have any pictures of this morning, but here are some pictures of our kid’s club.
