Christmas party

On Saturday we had our annual Christmas party for our kids club!  We had a great time and 33 children came.  We had chocolate covered pretzels, peppermint patties, cupcakes, punch, played games, and of course opened presents!  All the boys and girls seemed to love their gifts.  Here are some pictures:

six gifts that God has given us

Maria Cruz, Yeni, and Griselda receiving Bibles

The Lord blessed us with a good kids club today. We had 22 and 2 of those were first time visitors!  Our lesson was on six gifts that God has given us: forgiveness of sins, eternal life, His Son Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Angels, and our names written in the Book of Life.  It was another great chance to give these kids the gospel message.  We pray the Lord will save their souls and change their lives and their families!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  The Lord has blessed us with so many things over the years but this past month has perhaps been one of the most blessed months we have had! We got the girls’ visas from DHL yesterday (pictures below)!  We started the immigration process on Oct. 18th and we had our visa interview  and were approved on November 19th!  And as of today we have our tickets booked for the U.S.!  Only the Lord could do that!  We are so very thankful to the Lord this Thanksgiving to have all our necessary paperwork, for our adoption to be complete, for the girls to have their visas and to soon be U.S. citizens! As you can imagine we are praising the Lord! Happy Thanksgiving!

Lima Visa Trip

We are finally back from our week long trip to Lima for the girls’ visas. Praise the Lord we were granted the visas on Thursday morning! We are beyond excited and at the same time still in disbelief. God is good and His timing is perfect. On Tuesday we spent the afternoon at the doctors getting physical exams for the girls which cleared them to travel to the U.S.. We are happy to have this past week behind us and to have good news to report. We are praising and thanking the Lord for His answer to our prayers. Thank you all for praying these past several years for this whole process!

Paperwork

This week we have been filling out a lot of paperwork getting ready for the girls’ visa interview.  I would have never thought the U.S. government would need so much information from people (us) who are already U.S. citizens.  A month ago we did the same thing and we thought that would be it.  Then we got our packet in the mail and found out there was a lot more paperwork to fill out.  Since we have 2 girls there are two of every paper to be filled out!  The girls also have to have thorough medical check-ups in Lima for the interview.  We will be heading to Lima soon for that and to await our interview on the 18th!  Please keep us in your prayers!
