We finished up kid’s club this month with ice cream sundaes! Who doesn’t like ice cream, especially with chocolate sauce, marshmallows, gummy bears and whip cream?  We did have one girl who wouldn’t eat her ice cream because she had a cold.  It is common here not to drink cold drinks; most of the time water and pop are room temperature or hot! When a person is “resfriado” or has a cold that rule applies not just to drinks but to food as well. I tried to convince her this wouldn’t hurt her cold anymore and she did reluctantly take a couple of bites.

Well this post is only a week late but we did have a great day celebrating Mother’s Day here in Cusco.  The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful, godly wife and mother for our girls Natali and Neomi!  Our house would not run near as smoothly without my wife to keep it all in order!

Today we celebrated the 1 year anniversary of our church plant! (April 29th is the actual day we started services.)  We are so thankful for what the Lord is doing and the people He has brought us!  We had a total of 26 in attendance! We had a special time of singing. Two men who have been coming faithfully gave testimonies of their salvation and what the Lord has been doing in their lives.  We also had a special video greeting from our pastor in the U.S., as well as two other missionary friends in the U.S.  The Lord really blessed and we are humbled by His grace towards us. We pray this church plant will endure if God wills until Jesus comes again and that it will be a lighthouse for the Lord in our community, district, city, region,  country, and the world!
