My wife Rebecca and I are church-planting Baptist missionaries to Spanish-speaking people sent out of the Winton Place Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rebecca and I were both privileged to grow up in Christian homes. Rebecca was saved at the age of 5 and Jason at the age of 10. We both attended Christian schools grades K-12. Jason was called to preach at 13 and felt called to the mission field at the age of 18. Rebecca’s family always had a heart for missions and she grew up being able to take part in many different cross-cultural experiences while serving in her local church.
The Lord brought us together in 2000, and in December of 2002 we were married. By that point we knew the Lord would have us in missions and we were already working with Hispanics on our bus routes at our home church. We were initially drawn to Mexico and had even taken a mission trip there but after hearing missionaries share their burden for Peru we started praying specifically about Peru. In April of 2004 we left for Arequipa, Peru.
We were missionaries in Peru for 18 years, and loved serving the Lord there. We learned the language in Arequipa and worked with missionary Todd Marks and his wife Rosalinda for almost 2 years at the Family Baptist Church. We then moved to Cusco in 2007 where we labored for 16 years. In 2012 we started the Faith Baptist Church and handed it over to Peruvian leadership in 2023.
April of 2023 saw us transition back to the U.S. to help our daughters in the next stage of life. After much prayer and counsel we believed the Lord would have us to continue working with Spanish-speaking people and planting churches. It is to that end that the Lord has allowed us to work on two fronts right now – Fairfield, Ohio and Dayton, Ohio. The Lord has blessed us with two beautiful twin girls: Natali and Neomi (age 20) who we adopted from Peru when they were one year of age.
