6th day without water

Well, it’s now been 6 days that we have had no water! I thank the Lord that the water truck came yesterday. We filled up every bucket we had along with whatever else we had. I’m not sure when we will get water back but I pray it’ll be soon.
We had a good Bible study today. We had a bilingual service because Josue understands English so we did a little in Spanish and English.

Hills and valleys

1Ki 20:28 “And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.”

The Lord really made this verse jump out at me when I was reading it (I bolded the part in the middle for emphasis).  When I read this verse I think of all the times that I have thought the same thing.  I have been in the valley and discouraged and I’ve said, “God, where are you? Why aren’t you with me? Why is this happening?” There’ve been times when I’ve thought, “He’s not God of the valleys. He doesn’t care what’s going on.” (All along knowing that He was there and is God).  So today if you’ve been going through a valley, please know that God is God of the hills and the valleys.  He will be with you on the mountain tops and in the lowest valleys.  He will never leave you or forsake you.  He is: “God of the valleys”.

Grandpa Bob

On Saturday between 1-2 a.m. my Grandpa Bob Ridenour went to be with the Lord. He had been having health problems, but no one was expecting this. I thank the Lord that he was a saved man and that he is once again whole. He was one of the most giving and generous men that I have ever known. Please pray for all my family during this time.

No deal

This afternoon I was going to sign the contract with the landlord for our new meeting place. I called her to make sure we were still on and she said she wanted to talk some more (never good). When I got there she wanted me to rent out another place that isn’t even near finished and won’t be unless I give her the money for it. So for now, “no deal”. It was disheartening but the Lord must have another place for us.
